Why Perfectly Complete?

VISION

I don’t know about you, but I have struggled at times with feeling inadequate or incompetent to live for the Lord.  I sometimes get frustrated with myself because I keep making the same mistakes or feel like I shouldn’t be stumbled by the same old things after knowing the Lord as long as I have. It’s that ornery perfectionist streak rearing its ugly head again. As I was praying over this ministry, wondering what to call it, God reminded me that, while I’m not perfect, I am perfectly complete in Him. In His word, He has given me all I need to follow where he leads and to serve him.

All Scripture is breathed out by God and profitable for teaching, for reproof, for correction, and for training in righteousness, that the man of God may be complete,
equipped for every good work.
2 Timothy 3:16-17 (ESV)

Not that we are sufficient in ourselves to claim anything as coming from us, but our sufficiency is from God, who has made us sufficient to be ministers of a new covenant, not of the letter but of the Spirit.
2 Corinthians 3:5-6a (ESV)

I can do all things through him who strengthens me.
Philippians 4:13 (ESV)
